Capitec Pay VRP
Enable Capitec users to pay for subscription or repeat purchases using Capitec Pay. Customers can also pre-approve transactions for variable charges by authorising a maximum amount through their Capitec online banking app.
Accept variable recurring payments with Capitec Pay
The first Variable Recurring Payments (VRP) offering in South Africa, Capitec Pay VRP will enable Capitec customers to make recurring or repeat payments via their Capitec bank accounts and pre-approve future transactions up to a maximum amount, via their Capitec app. This adds another option in addition to card for recurring or pre-authorised purchases.
The initial setup or payment must be authorised by the customer via the Capitec app, including an agreed limit per transaction. However, once set up, the customer does not need to authorise each additional or subsequent charge. Payments made via Capitec Pay VRP are fast, secure and easy.
Fast and seamless collections
Collect recurring or subscription payments quickly and easily from Capitec customers. They won’t need to authorise each payment.
Better user experience
Capitec Pay VRP offers a secure and streamlined user experience for recurring or pre-approved payments, removing the need for customers to authorise every transaction in their banking app.
Higher success rates
Capitec customers will see higher payment success rates for recurring payments using VRP vs other methods like credit card.
How it works
Customers can pay with Capitec Pay VRP via Stitch and authenticate payment in their Capitec banking app.
This happens in their Capitec banking app. Note that the customer’s final balance will be auto-adjusted, based on the final purchase value and any additions, such as tip. However, this won’t exceed the capped amount that was initially approved by the customer.
The amount charged will be based on the final checkout amount, and they won’t need to re-approve future recurring transactions in your banking app.
Customers can save their Capitec mobile number, which means they won’t need to sign in to their Capitec account again.
